On Sunday, I introduced an evangelism initiative for the Fall called The Bridge Course. It is a 10-week video series that introduces people to the main message of the Bible—the gospel, that God saves sinners through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ on the cross. It starts with the question, “How good is good enough?” and covers a broad span of topics.
It is exciting (and a little fearful) for me to think about each of our home groups hosting this. Let me ask you a question, as you watched the video on Sunday, could you imagine your some of friends and neighbors and co-workers going through this with you? I’m praying that God would stir up our faith to see people come to saving faith in Christ. I want to see people not as they are now, but according to what God can do.
If you had a chance to get one of the manuals on Sunday, take a look at the different outlines. It’s hard to invite someone to something you know little about, so take the time to familiarize yourself. When we resume home groups next Wednesday, you’ll have a chance to go over some training materials and start formulating a plan as a group. May God grant us much favor, help us overcome any fears we have, and give us confidence in our Savior who still seeks and saves the lost (Luke 19:10).
