Our mission and our values demonstrate who we are and flow from what we believe.

Our Mission

We exist to love God, love one another, and proclaim the good news of Jesus Christ.

We exist to love God

Jesus said that loving God with all our heart, soul, and mind is the greatest and first commandment (Matthew 22:38). We love God in response to his having first loved us. God showed his love for us by giving his Son to die on the cross for our sin. This is why we exist to love and worship him in all we say and do.

Love one another

Jesus went on to speak of a second great commandment, which is to love our neighbors as ourselves. This is what makes church more than just a building or a Sunday service. We are a community that cares for one another.

Proclaim the good news

The mission given by Jesus was that we would be his witnesses, declaring and demonstrating the gospel so that others might believe. We teach and pray and disciple to this glorious end.

Here's What We Value as a Church

The core values of any organization reflect who it is and what it believes. At Grace Covenant, we have seven core values we share with the churches of Sovereign Grace Churches.

We believe that the gospel—the good news of God’s saving work in Jesus Christ—is the pinnacle of His redemptive acts, the center of the Bible’s story, and the essential message for our faith, life, and witness.

Scripture presents God as the source and end of all things, sovereignly working all things according to his will. At the center of God’s purposes in the world is his glory through the redemption of sinners.

We believe the Holy Spirit desires to continually fill each believer with increased power for Christian life and witness, including the giving of his supernatural gifts for the building up of the church and for various works of ministry in the world.

We believe it was God’s plan to create men and women in his image, giving them equal dignity and value in his sight, while appointing differing and complementary roles for them within the home and the church.

We believe Jesus Christ reigns as head over the church, and he gives to church elders (or pastors) the mandate to govern and lead local churches under his authority.

Church Planting

We believe the Great Commission is fulfilled in a primary way through church planting, whereby the gospel is proclaimed and converts are formed into communities of disciples.

Our fellowship with other churches extends beyond mere denominational affiliation; we are committed to applying the gospel together in relationships that foster mutual encouragement, care, and a glad pursuit of Christlikeness.
